The Power of Visualization

Knowing what you want... really having a clear picture of what you want is the first and most important step to getting what you want. We often think it is all the planning and actions and hard work, but I am learning to trust myself and the universe and let things unfold, instead of trying to force it. This is, of course, fairly difficult for a woman who has been a very successful control freak most of her life....

However, the more I learn and evolve, and the less I am attracted to hard work... I am learning the lessons of how to use intention and visualization to manifest what I want more easily.

Case in point...

Here is a picture that was on my office wall (read in front of my eyes every day) for a few years:

And here is the view from my new house that, all of a sudden two years ago showed up ready to become our final retirement compound! (Thank you my son, Richard)

Hmmmm.....magic? Luck? I wish I could EXPLAIN what happened, but as close as I can come is that I had a clear idea of what I wanted my retirement home to look like. I did nothing except keep the vision in front of me and taking forward action in all parts of my life and BINGO! One day, my perfect house becomes available!

  • What do you REALLY want?
  • Are you really clear in what it would look like?
  • Do you keep it where you are looking at it each day?
  • Do you trust it will come to you?
  • Are you taking action toward it?

I'd love to hear the things that are showing up in your life... the synchronicities, the miracles and the unexpected...

We all can do this, but the letting go and trusting part, for me, anyway, is the very hardest...

I've lived most of my life believing I had to struggle and work hard for EVERYTHING and I did a pretty good job of creating success from that model.

These days, I am much happier allowing the universe to partner with me, doing much of the work! My job, I have found, is knowing what I want and trusting it is available to me, sometimes in very surprising ways!

"When the student is ready, the teacher appears!"

Here are some ideas for Vision Boards to help you focus:

  1. My favorite Vision Board because you can use it in so many ways, both on your computer and printing it out!!!
  2. An Interesting Option I just found. My Vision in Progress. You can carry it around, change it and it is simple and easy!
  3. Or just get a piece of poster board and a stack of magazines and do it yourself!

What are you envisioning?

I have been using a vision board for years... in fact it is time to update mine again.

Thanks, Joeann. I think this Vision Board is a very neat idea. Visualization helps one reach their Dreams.
